What is a Hybrid Striper?
The world famous Texoma Hybrid Striper is a cross bred fish that uses the sperm of male white bass and the eggs of female striped bass. This combination produces the hyrid striped bass and it thrives and reproduces in Lake Texoma just north of Dallas, TX.
Can You Eat Texoma Striper?
Hybrid striped bass are great to eat! 12" to 14" striper make the best table fare and you can keep 8 striper under 20" and 2 striper over 20" Try any recipe for blacked fish and enjoy your striper with white wine!
How do you catch a Striped Bass?
Your can catch striped bass year round on Lake Texoma. Dropping slabs to the lake bottom and following with a retrieve and fall technique (pictured below) is the most popular technique. In the dead of winter switch to dead sticking soft plastic shad baits.
